Background:

Socio Economic Backing Association (SEBA) is a non-government, voluntary, non-profit development organization located at Tangail. It was registered with Directorate of Social Welfare, NGO Affairs Bureau and Micro Credit Regulatory Authority (MRA). The aim of the organization is to improve the socioeconomic condition of the poor and disadvantaged in the rural areas.

The Accounting department divided into three sections under Assistant Director.

  • Reporting Section.

  • Cash & Bank Section.

  • Printing & Store Section.

Reporting Section.

A reporting group whthin the department creates adjusting journal entries to bring the Organization’s initial financial results into compliance with the applicable accounting framework, writes footnotes to accompany the financial statements, and releases financials following the end of each reporting period. Reporting Section prepares six reports. Accounts Officer & Asst Accounts officer is Responsible for a organization’s accounting activities that include maintaining and reporting on both the cost and financial sets of accounts.All Statement are given below.

  • Balance Sheet
  • Comprehensive of Income Statement
  • Receipts & Payments Statement
  • Cash flow Statement
  • Ratio Analysis

The Accounts Officer/Asst Accounts officer.

Directs and organizes all general accounting activities and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping.reports directly to the Assistant Director. Accounts Officer & Asst Accounts officer establishes and enforces the accounting principles based on statutory requirements and auditing policy

Cash & Bank Section.

Cash & Bank Section prepares Pety Cash, Daily Bank transaction, Salary statement, branch wise fund transfer and Bank reconciliation statement. Accountant & Asst Accountant maintains this section. Accounting staff responsibilities are focused on accurately documenting the organization’s operations,collecting all money owed to the organization,and responsibility disbursing money owed to vendors

Cash & Bank Section prepares two reports:

  • Cash Book & Ledger.
  • Bank reconciliation Statement.

Directs and organizes all general accounting activities and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping.reports directly to the Assistant Director.

Accounting Supervisor – Shares the same responsibilities as an accounts officer/Asst accounts officer and provides support as a member of his/her team.

Accountant – Accountants play a key role in finance departments such as the measurement and interpretation of financial information. The results of their work ensure compliance, and provide the groundwork for greater financial strategies.

Bookkeepers – Bookkeepers provide the day-to-day efforts needed to record and assess basic accounting data. They typically do not take a strategic role.

 

 

Printing & Store Section.

Store Section to manage all of the operations in SEBA’s store room.Store section will play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of stock,including ordering,receiving and managing inventory. The Form format used in branch office Which is delivery from Store Section.

Store Section’s Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
  • Receive, unload, and form format supplies
  • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
  • To Cillect spot quotation.
  • Prepared a comparative statement.
