Background:

Socio Economic Backing Association (SEBA) is a non-government, voluntary, non-profit development organization located at Tangail. It was registered with Directorate of Social Welfare, NGO Affairs Bureau and Micro Credit Regulatory Authority (MRA). The aim of the organization is to improve the socioeconomic condition of the poor and disadvantaged in the rural areas.

  1. Executive Director.

The Executive Director operates & Control Accounts Department.As a founder member Executive Director Keep the Treasury of the organization.He makes fund transaction of organization for Head Office & field level,bank & other concern office

The accounting department of SEBA is comtrolling  by The Executive Director. The Executive Director controls the flow of cash through the organization and maintains the integrity of funds; securities and other valuable documents.He is accountable for his works to Executive Committee.He takes direction & advice to the Assistant Director.He is typically the head financial executive of SEBA. He oversee the financial strategy and manage the rest of Accounting department.He helps senior Management understand the financial impact of real-time decisions to ensure the fiscal success of the SEBA.

2.Assistant Director.

The Assistant Director’s are key players within accounting department.His function & Main responsibilities is financial accounting,preparation,reporting,analysis,budgeting,project management accounts & more.He key roles tends to focus on immediate financial issues and management.The Assistant Director establishes and enforces the accounting principles based on statutory requirements and auditing policy.As an Assistant Director he-provides support as a member of his team.

Other responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the entire accounting team
  • Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
  • Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy
  • Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code
  • Monitor and mentor/train junior staff and bookkeepers
  • Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively
  • Uphold the excellent reputation of SEBA
  • See that tax consults and onboarding procedures of SEBA
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve Management.
  • Report directly to Operations SEBA Accounting Department

 

3.Accounts Officer:

Accounts officer is key players within accounting department.His function & Main responsibilities is financial accounting,preparation,reporting,analysis,budgeting,project management accounts & more.

Other responsibilities & Duties:

  • Handle accounts Reporting Section.
  • Prepared Financial Statement
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain records of organization,.
  • Check invoices for inaccuracies
  • Reconcile accounts with the general ledger
  • Handle general account queries
  • Contact clients about invoices that are past due

Assistant Accounts Officer

Accounts officer is key players within accounting department.His function & Main responsibilities is financial accounting,preparation,reporting,analysis,budgeting,project management accounts & more.

Other responsibilities & Duties

  • Handle accounts Reporting Section.
  • Prepared Financial Statement
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain records of organization,.
  • Check invoices for inaccuracies
  • Reconcile accounts with the general ledger

Junior  Accounts Officer :

Junior Accounts officer is key players within accounting department.His function & Main responsibilities is financial accounting,preparation & more.

Junior Accounts officer has a responsibility to his clients, investors and creditors, as well as to outside regulatory bodies such as the Internal Revenue Service. Junior Accounts officer are responsible for the validity of the financial statements.

If a unior Accounts officer  works directly to SEBA,  He has access to information many others Partyin the organization  payroll numbers to news about staff layoffs, and he also has to treat this information discretely.

Although Junior Accounts officer have a great deal of responsibility to their clients, if the Internal Revenue Service finds an error in an individual’s  item, However, an individual who has been wronged by an accountant’s misconduct can bring a claim of negligence against the accountant based on the fact the accountant breached his duty to the client and caused personal or financial damages.

Accountant – Accountants play a key role in finance departments such as the measurement and interpretation of financial information. The results of their work ensure compliance, and provide the groundwork for greater financial strategies.

Bookkeepers provide the day-to-day efforts needed to record and assess basic accounting data. They typically do not take a strategic role.

 

The Accounting department divided into four sections under Assistant Director.

  • Reporting Section.
  • Cash & Bank Section.
  • Printing & Store Section.
  • Tax & VAT

Reporting Section.

A reporting group whthin the department creates adjusting journal entries to bring the Organization’s initial financial results into compliance with the applicable accounting framework, writes footnotes to accompany the financial statements, and releases financials following the end of each reporting period. Reporting Section prepares six reports. Accounts Officer & Asst Accounts officer is Responsible for a organization’s accounting activities  that include maintaining and reporting on both the cost and financial sets of accounts.All Statement are given below.

  • Balance Sheet
  • Comprehensive of Income Statement
  • Receipts & Payments Statement
  • Cash flow Statement
  • Ratio Analysis

The Accounts Officer/Asst Accounts officer.

Directs and organizes all general accounting activities and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping.reports directly to the Assistant Director.  Accounts Officer & Asst Accounts officer establishes and enforces the accounting principles based on statutory requirements and auditing policy

Cash & Bank Section.

Cash & Bank  Section prepares Pety Cash, Daily Bank transaction, Salary statement, branch wise fund transfer and Bank reconciliation statement. Accountant & Asst Accountant maintains this section. Accounting staff responsibilities are focused on accurately documenting the organization’s operations,collecting all money owed to the organization,and responsibility disbursing money owed to vendors

Cash & Bank  Section prepares two reports:

  • Cash Book & Ledger.
  • Bank reconciliation Statement.

Accounting Supervisor – Shares the same responsibilities as an accounts officer/Asst accounts officer and provides support as a member of his/her team.

Printing & Store Section.

Store  Section to manage all of the operations in SEBA’s store room.Store section will play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of stock,including  ordering,receiving and managing inventory. The Form format used in branch office Which is delivery from Store Section.

Store Section’s Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
  • Receive, unload, and form format supplies
  • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
  • To Cillect spot quotation.
  • Prepared a comparative statement.
